Maurice Brown is Professor Emeritus of the State University of New York at New Paltz. He is the co-author of Art Making and Education, a volume in the series Disciplines in Art Education: Contexts of Understanding, and has contributed articles to this journal. His works have been exhibited in several national exhibitions, including the Corcoran Biennial of American Painting, and are in the permanent collections of such museums as The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia.
